Your key vault can own an announcement: a rich embed with a Redeem a key button that posts when you publish and comes down when you unpublish. You write the message once; the link and the timing look after themselves.

What you need first

  • A Discord server connected under Integrations.
  • A custom key vault. A playtest’s own vault hands keys out in session, so it has no Announcement toggle.
  • Announcement messages left on your plan. Publishing spends one.

The playbook

Connect Discord

If you have not already, go to Integrations and open the Discord card. Pick your server and approve the bot.

Turn Announcement on

Open the key vault and go to its About tab. Switch Announcement on. An Announcement tab appears alongside the others.Nothing posts yet. The message goes out when you publish.

Write the message

On the Announcement tab, fill in Content (title, subtitle, message, footer) and Appearance (cover image and accent color). The preview above the cards shows exactly what your community will see.Leave the cover empty and the post uses your game’s branding image.

Pick the channel and roles

Open the Audience card to choose which channel receives the post, and which roles get pinged. Role pings are optional and never include everyone.

Publish the key vault

Publishing posts the announcement. The confirmation lists it among the consequences, so you always know a message is about to go out.

Check it landed

Open Integrations > Discord and look at Destinations. Every place you are currently posting is listed there, including this one.
The Redeem a key button always carries this key vault’s own public link. If you reset that link later, the live post is rewritten in place, so there is nothing to repost.

Changing your mind

Edit while live

Keep editing on the Announcement tab. Saving rewrites the post in place, keeping its spot in the channel along with reactions and replies.

Take it down

Unpublish the key vault, or switch Announcement off in About. Either removes the post and keeps everything you wrote.
Unpublishing and republishing spends a second announcement message. A post that already reached your community is spent; republishing sends a genuinely new one.
