Find Integrations and open the Mailchimp card, in the studio.
What you need first
- The Admin role or above, to connect an integration.
- A studio on the Essential plan or above.
- A Mailchimp account with at least one audience. Create one there first if you have none.
- Your players’ agreement to hear from you, if you are going to send anything out.
The playbook

Open the Mailchimp card
Go to Integrations in the sidebar.
- On the All tab, click the Mailchimp card.
- Click Continue.

Authorize Userplay
Click Continue to Mailchimp. Sign in on Mailchimp’s page and approve the connection.You land back in Userplay on the next step.

Pick an audience
Choose the audience to sync with, then click Use this audience.

Choose a direction
Pick Two-way, Push to Mailchimp, or Pull from Mailchimp, then continue.
Two-way is the one most studios want. Pick a one-way direction only when you have a reason to keep one side from changing the other.

Choose the fields that travel
Three groups of switches, all on. Switch off anything you would rather keep in Userplay, then continue.Continuing confirms your players agreed to hear from you.

Land on the Mailchimp tab
Click Go to integrations.The first sync is already running.
How you know it worked
- The Connection card reads Syncing with your audience name, and Last synced fills in within a few minutes.
- The Tags table lists a row per group, each reading Syncing.
- Your audience in Mailchimp shows the
UP_fields under its own audience field settings. - Real-time reads On in the connection modal. If it reads Off, click Retry.
