A recurring schedule runs until it reaches its number of sends. When you need to change it, end it early, or wind it down, unpublishing is the lever. It stops every future send, takes the posts it already made out of your Discord channel, and reopens the announcement for editing.

  • A published recurring announcement with sends still to come.

Open the announcement

Open the recurring announcement you want to change.

Unpublish it

Click Unpublish in the header, or pick Unpublish from the overflow menu, then confirm. Every pending send stops, every message the schedule already posted is removed from your channel, and the sends that have not fired return to your allowance.If you only want to pull one bad occurrence and let the schedule keep running, take that single post down from the Messages tab instead.

Edit or end it

Change the message or the schedule on the Compose and About tabs. To end it for good, leave it unpublished, or Archive it from the overflow menu.

Republish, if you are continuing

If you only paused to edit, click Publish again. It reserves sends afresh for whatever the schedule now holds.

How you know it worked

  • After unpublishing, the badge reads Unpublished and no more sends fire.
  • The schedule’s posts are gone from your Discord channel, and each one reads Taken down on the Messages tab.
  • The Messages tab shows no upcoming amber occurrences while it is unpublished.
  • A schedule you let run out on its own reads Completed after its last send.
