What you need first
- A Discord server connected under Integrations.
- The roles you want to ping already set up in your Discord server.
The playbook

Open the announcement
Open a draft or unpublished announcement and go to the Compose tab. A published announcement is read-only, so unpublish it first if you need to.

Open the Audience card
Open the Audience card. It holds the Channel and the Tag roles picker.

Pick the roles
In Tag roles, choose the roles to ping. You can tag up to 10. Leave it empty to post without a ping.

Check the preview and publish
The preview above the cards shows the roles that will be pinged. When it reads right, click Publish.
Publishing an announcement
Take the message live.
How you know it worked
- The preview lists the roles above the message.
- When the announcement posts, members of those roles get a Discord notification.
- No one outside the tagged roles is pinged.
