What you need first
- A Discord server connected under Integrations.
- A channel in that server for the announcement to post to.
The playbook

Create the announcement
Open Announcements in the sidebar and click New announcement. Choose the One-Time card, click Continue, name it, and click Save Draft.

Write the content
On the Compose tab, open the Content card. Set the Title, write the Message, and adjust the Subtitle and Footer if the defaults do not fit.

Set the look
Open the Appearance card. Upload a Cover image, then click Match cover to pull an accent color from it, or pick one by hand.

Add link buttons
Open the Links card. Fill the Primary button with a link and a label. Add a Secondary button, or leave it blank for one button.
Composing the message
Every field in the composer.

Pick the channel
Open the Audience card and choose the Channel it posts to. Tag any roles you want pinged.

Publish it
Click Publish. Confirm the channel, leave the timing on Send now, and click Send now.

How you know it worked
- The message appears in your Discord channel with your title, cover, and buttons.
- The announcement badge reads Published.
- The Messages tab shows one send, colored green for Sent.
