Sync your players with Mailchimp
Pick your first audience as part of the connect flow.
Turn subscribers into playtesters
Everything in that audience becomes a player you can recruit.
Why one audience
Mailchimp bills per contact and recommends keeping a single audience per account. Splitting your community across several means paying twice for anyone on both, and it leaves you segmenting the same people in two places. Userplay follows that shape. One audience means one set of tags, one set ofUP_ fields, and one answer to the question of where a player’s email lives.
Change the audience
The Audience card takes you back to the step in setup that picks one. Choose a different audience and confirm.
Picking the same audience again changes nothing. Only a genuine switch clears anything.
The roster it fills
Your audience gets a roster of its own in Userplay, listed under Mailchimp on the Groups page and named after the audience. Contacts that arrive from Mailchimp land there. It is managed from your audience, so it is read-only here. You cannot add or remove members on it, and you cannot archive it while the integration exists. Sort those players into a custom group and work with that instead.Contacts that arrive from Mailchimp become players, and players count against your studio’s limit. When an import reaches that limit it stops and says so, outbound syncing keeps working, and the import resumes from where it stopped once you have room.
If the audience is deleted in Mailchimp
Deleting an audience in Mailchimp leaves Userplay pointing at something that no longer exists. Syncing stops, and a warning appears beside both the Connection and Audience headings. Pick a replacement audience to resume. Until you do, nothing is pushed and nothing is pulled.Related articles
