Most announcements are messages you write on their own. A resource announcement belongs to something else: a playtest, a survey, a waitlist, an NDA, or a key vault. You write the message, and the resource decides the rest. Publish the resource and the announcement posts. Unpublish it and the post comes down. There is no separate schedule to keep in step and no link to copy across, because the button always points at the resource that owns it.

The four kinds

Each resource sets this up on its own page, and the details differ enough to be worth reading there.

Playtest announcements

Open playtests only. Posts a Join Playtest button, and carries across when you duplicate.

Key vault announcements

Custom vaults only. Posts a Redeem a key button pointing at the redeem link.

Survey announcements

Any survey. Posts a Take the survey button, and stays editable after the questions freeze.

Waitlist announcements

Any waitlist. Posts a Join the waitlist button that keeps recruiting between playtests.

How they compare

Every one of them needs a connected Discord server first. Without one the toggle stays visible but inert, so you can see the feature exists and what it is waiting for. The two eligibility rules come from the same question: can a stranger reading the post act on it? A closed playtest turns away everyone outside its roster, and a playtest’s own key vault hands keys out in session rather than through a link. Neither has a door to point at.

What they all share

Seeing them all together

Your resource announcements also appear under Announcements in the sidebar, alongside the ones you wrote yourself, each with a badge naming the resource that owns it. That view is read-only: open the resource to change anything.

Announcements

Standalone announcements, with their own schedule and their own links.

Compose the message

Every field in the composer, shared by both kinds.

Discord integration

The server every resource announcement posts to.

Announcement allowances by plan

How many messages your plan includes, and when they are spent.
