Archiving takes an announcement off your lists and removes whatever it still has posted in Discord. Use it once a one-time post has gone out, or when a draft or schedule is no longer needed. Any sends still reserved on the schedule return to your plan’s allowance.

Archive it

Open the overflow menu in the announcement header and click Archive, then confirm. You return to the announcements list, and the announcement is gone from it.

What archiving does

  • The announcement leaves your lists.
  • Any message it still has posted is removed from your Discord channel.
  • Any sends still reserved on its schedule return to your allowance, the same as an unpublish.
This matters most for a completed recurring announcement. It was never unpublished, so archiving is the moment its posts come down. If you unpublished first, the posts came down then, and archiving has nothing left to remove. Removing a post does not return its send. The delivery already happened.

Archiving needs the Admin role or above. A member can create, edit, and publish, but not archive.
