Writing it
The Agreement tab is a block editor. You get headings, text, lists, separators, page breaks, images, and video embeds. No questions: an NDA states terms, it does not ask anything. Templates give you a pre-written starting point covering the common postures:
Add a page break wherever the agreement should split across screens. A signer has to reach the last page before the I agree button unlocks.
Custom checkboxes
Every signer ticks a built-in box that reads I have read and agree to the terms above. On top of that you can add up to five of your own, from the … menu on the Agreement tab. Use them when you need a specific, separately-recorded acknowledgement:- I understand this build is not final and may contain bugs
- I will not share access with anyone outside my organisation
- I have authority to sign on behalf of my company
**bold**, *italic*, and [links](https://example.com). Each label is capped at 280 characters.
Every box has to be ticked before the I agree button unlocks. There are no optional checkboxes, because a box a signer can skip is not an acknowledgement.
When it freezes
The agreement and its checkboxes lock the moment the NDA leaves draft, and they stay locked for good. Unpublishing does not reopen them. This is deliberate. Signatures store a fingerprint of exactly what was shown, so an editable agreement would leave you holding signatures against terms nobody ever saw. If the terms genuinely need to change, create a new NDA and send people to it. The old one keeps its signatures against the old terms, which is what you want on the record.Related articles
