Onboarding is the first thing someone meets when they open your NDA link. It does two jobs: it says what they are about to sign, and it makes them prove who they are before they sign it.

Identities

Identities are the accounts a signer must connect before they can agree. This is an all-of list, not a pick-one: choose Email and Discord and a signer connects both before they can continue. Leave it unset and signers sign in with email. Identities are per-NDA, so changing them here does not touch your playtests, surveys, or waitlists.
An NDA is the one place where an extra identity usually earns its keep. A signature tied to a verified email is worth more than one tied to a typed name, and that is exactly what the identity step gives you.

Welcome content

Alongside the identities, you can write whatever a signer should read first: text, headings, and images. Use it to say who is asking, what the agreement covers, and what happens once they sign. Leave it empty and signers go straight to connecting their identities. For an NDA you are sending to one known contact, that is often enough.

When it locks

Never. You can rewrite onboarding on a live NDA and the next signer sees the new version. Only the agreement freezes at publish.
