The four cards

Each card opens a small editor. You can edit a card whenever the announcement is a draft or unpublished. A published announcement is read-only until you unpublish it.

Content

The text of the embed. Only the title is required, so a title-only announcement still posts. The Message field takes Discord markdown, so bold, italics, and bullet lists render the way they do in a normal Discord message.

Appearance

The look of the embed.
  • Cover image is the banner across the top, cropped to a 5:2 frame in the same editor your logos use.
  • Accent color is the stripe down the side. Click Match cover to sample a color from the image, or pick one by hand. With no cover and no color, it falls back to Discord blurple.
Up to two link buttons sit under the message, a Primary and a Secondary. Each button is a link and an optional label.
  • Fill the Link with a full address starting with https://.
  • The Label is the button text. Leave it blank and the button reads “Learn more”.
  • Leave a whole tab blank to post one button, or leave both blank to post none.
These are plain link buttons that open a URL, and they are yours to set. A resource announcement has no Links card: its one button is set for you and always points at the resource that owns it.

Audience

Where the announcement posts, and who it pings.
  • Channel is the one channel in your server that receives the message. It is searchable and lists channels as # name.
  • Tag roles pings specific Discord roles when the message posts. You can tag up to 10 roles.
Role tags only ever ping the roles you choose. An announcement never pings @everyone.

The preview

The panel above the cards renders the embed with your live server name, channel name, and role names filled in. It refreshes each time you save a card, so what you see is what your channel gets.
