Scheduling a one-time announcement

A one-time announcement posts once. You choose whether it goes out the moment you publish, or at a date and time you pick. Set it on the About tab, or confirm it in the publish step.

Send now or send later

The Schedule section on the About tab holds two choices. For a scheduled send you pick a date, a time, and a timezone. The time you choose is anchored to that timezone, so a reader in another zone still gets it at the moment you meant.

Publishing carries the timing through

The timing you set on the About tab is the timing the publish step opens with. Publishing is where the send is actually reserved and locked in.

• If you left it on Send at publish, publishing posts it right away.
• If you scheduled it, publishing reserves the send for that moment.

When a scheduled time has passed

A scheduled time only holds while it is still in the future. If the moment passes before you publish, the picker asks for a new one, so an announcement never quietly posts against a stale time.

Scheduling by plan

Both choices work on every plan, Free included. Picking a later moment costs nothing on its own, so nothing here is gated. What your plan does decide is how many announcement messages you have to spend, and a scheduled announcement reserves one the moment you publish rather than when it posts.
